We’ve actually done 50 results shows, which means 50 elections, which means we’ve accomplished something.
Here, in this 50th results show, we discuss our most recent nominees. These are songs released between 1997 and 2004, including hits by Usher, Kanye West, Britney Spears, Eminem, and Coldplay, among others. And we have a lot of new Hall of Songs members to reveal, as well.

Before we give you our 12 nominees for 2003, we decided to bring you back behind the curtain to discuss our short list.
For this special episode, we’re joined by Andrew Unterberger of Billboard as we discuss the top … uh … 30 or so songs of the year, at least by our standards. You’ll get some Outkast, Jay-Z, Britney, Dizzee Rascal, Drive By Truckers, and a whole lot more.
Here at Hall of Songs, especially as we go deeper into the 2000s, we’re starting to see the diverging music tastes of our two hosts. We’re also starting to see how seriously each of them takes the idea of nominating songs for our self-described pantheon.
